Responsibilities

  • Corporate Account Management and New Business Development
  • Work collaboratively with the Income Generation Manager and wider fundraising team to manage corporate partnerships.
  • Develop and implement tailored stewardship programmes for each partner, ensuring corporates understand the full range of opportunities to support the Hospice, including participation in Hospice events.
  • Ensure all business supporter commitments are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with agreements, providing exceptional donor care.
  • Ensure all business supporter agreements and commercial participant agreements comply with the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission guidance, maintaining up-to-date audit‑able documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to plan and deliver engagement events that enhance corporate partner experience and strengthen long‑term relationships.
  • Support the planning, delivery and profile of the Hospice’s Business Breakfasts and other corporate networking initiatives.
  • Attend networking events and local business conferences to generate new leads.
  • Monitor emerging trends in corporate fundraising, CSR/ESG and relevant sectors to identify and assess new partnership opportunities.

Compliance, Governance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all corporate fundraising activity complies with the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice, Charity Commission guidelines, GDPR and internal governance policies.
  • Conduct due‑diligence checks on prospective and existing partners to safeguard the Hospice’s reputation and ensure alignment with ethical fundraising standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of contractual agreements, stewardship plans and partnership activity to ensure strong governance and audit readiness.
  • Monitor partnership‑related risks and elevate concerns in line with organisational risk processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance Team to ensure all corporate income is accurately recorded, reconciled, coded and reported.
  • Support the Income Generation Manager by contributing to annual income and expenditure budgets for corporate fundraising, including monthly forecasts and performance updates.
  • Ensure all partnership proposals, agreements and activations clearly reflect financial commitments, deliverables and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain financial transparency and strong processes for income generation and expenditure management.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the Hospice's business information, supplier agreements and details about patients, other employees, volunteers and consultants.
  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) by following safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Data, Systems and CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate, timely records of all corporate activity on the Hospice’s CRM system.
  • Use data insights to assess performance, identify opportunities and support strategic planning.
  • Ensure all data handling complies with GDPR and organisational data privacy standards.

Cross‑Organisational Collaboration

  • Work with Marketing and Communications to deliver corporate campaigns aligned with brand and messaging standards.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, Retail and Volunteering teams to develop partnership opportunities that benefit both the Hospice and corporate supporters.
  • Support Hospice‑wide campaigns, appeals and events by maximising corporate engagement and sponsorship potential.

Other Responsibilities

  • Attend regular team meetings.
  • Provide support during annual leave and absence.
  • Participate in required training and remain informed about sector developments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Experience in corporate fundraising, corporate account management or sales, ideally within the charity sector.
  • Demonstrable success securing and stewarding partnerships.
  • Understanding of charity fundraising compliance, governance requirements and GDPR.
  • Strong financial literacy with experience in budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Confident networker with proven track record of generating leads for networking events.
  • Highly organised and able to manage a varied and busy workload.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
