We are recruiting for a reliable, responsible driver to take children from home to school, term time only. This will require morning and afternoon shifts, around 4 to 5 hours per day. No previous experience is required as training and guidance will be given. Duties include: Carrying out daily checks on vehicles and other related equipment in order to ensure that the highest standards are maintained. Maintaining the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition, internally and externally. Carrying out duties with an appropriate demeanour. Maintaining accurate vehicle log sheets. Person specification, experience and qualifications * Hold a full, clean driving licence for a minimum of two years, Dl status is required * Have a flexible approach to work * Have a good knowledge of the Woking and surrounding areas * Must live local to Woking, Surrey * People person * Have a cheerful disposition and a sense of humour * Have the desire to be part of a team which promote our service and achieve excellence for our users * Respect confidentiality, protect sensitive client information Required by successful applicants: * A medical examination will be required prior to driving passenger vehicles * You will be required to do a short on road driving assessment * References will be required * A enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) will be required * Surrey County Council Driver badge (Blue Badge) will be required, applicable to SCC routes * You will be required to do Manual Handling, First Aid and Safeguarding training * Uniforms are provided by the Society We are an equal opportunities employer and ensure that no applicant will receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable
