Position Overview
12–15 hours per week, term‑time only (39 weeks per year). Days required: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday to complement other technician hours within the department and ensure continuity across the week. The College is looking to appoint a part‑time Music Technician to provide high‑quality technical support to both staff and students within the Performing Arts Department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare teaching spaces and ensure they are ready for use.
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot instruments and studio equipment.
- Support the safe and effective use of rehearsal rooms, recording spaces, and other music facilities.
- Conduct regular equipment checks, perform cleaning schedules, and manage inventory.
- Assist with stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment to a high standard.
- Collaborate with staff and students to resolve technical issues and facilitate smooth sessions.

- Proactive, technically skilled, and approachable.
- Passionate about music and music technology.
- Experience with music equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
