We’re looking for a Principal Planning Infrastructure Officer to join our Planning Policy team and play a leading role in delivering Woking’s ambitious growth agenda. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the new Local Plan, ensuring the infrastructure needed for sustainable communities — from transport to green spaces — is planned and delivered effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and coordination of infrastructure across the borough
- Develop and manage the Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP)
- Work closely with stakeholders, service providers, and partners
- Provide expert advice on planning obligations, CIL, and developer contributions
- Lead on preparing a new CIL Charging Schedule
- Oversee CIL casework and manage the Planning Benefits Officer
