We’re looking for a Principal Planning Infrastructure Officer to join our Planning Policy team and play a leading role in delivering Woking’s ambitious growth agenda. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the new Local Plan, ensuring the infrastructure needed for sustainable communities — from transport to green spaces — is planned and delivered effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and coordination of infrastructure across the borough
  • Develop and manage the Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP)
  • Work closely with stakeholders, service providers, and partners
  • Provide expert advice on planning obligations, CIL, and developer contributions
  • Lead on preparing a new CIL Charging Schedule
  • Oversee CIL casework and manage the Planning Benefits Officer
