About the Role
As Housing Team Leader – Income, you will take the lead on rent collection and arrears management across our housing portfolio. You will:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Income Officers
- Drive effective rent collection and maximise income in a customer-focused way
- Embed a "rent first" culture, promoting early intervention and prevention
- Oversee arrears management processes, ensuring timely, proportionate action
- Manage tenant engagement, maintaining clear and supportive communication
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external support agencies
- Support service improvements, transformation, and policy development
- Ensure effective use of housing systems, including Mobysoft Rentsense
- Take ownership of legal action where necessary, including attending court
About You
- Experienced in rent collection and arrears management within social housing
- A confident team leader with strong people management skills
- Knowledgeable in relevant housing legislation and best practice
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities
- Passionate about delivering a customer-focused service
- Equipped with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
