Woking Borough Council is seeking a Planning Enforcement Investigations Officer to join the Council’s Planning Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Enforcing planning regulations is crucial formaintaining public confidence in the planning system, ensuring fairness for those who comply with regulations, and protecting amenity and the environment. Reporting to the Senior Planning Enforcement Officer the postholder will be responsible for the investigation of alleged breaches of planning control to determine whether a breach of planning control exists. Under the supervision of the Senior Planning Enforcement Officer, they will take appropriate action to remedy breaches of planning control and provide responses to residents, businesses and elected members on planning enforcement matters.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive outlook and a commitment to team working. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and ideally some experience of working in an enforcement related discipline.
