The successful candidate will play a key role in raising the progress and attainment of pupils, creating an engaging, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive. Key Responsibilities of the Role- Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning experiences in line with the National Curriculum
- Create and maintain a stimulating, safe and purposeful learning environment that supports all learners
- Ensure all pupils are engaged, challenged and supported to achieve their full potential
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, using this information to inform planning and next steps
- Provide clear and effective feedback to pupils, adapting teaching where necessary
- Promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom
- Take responsibility for the organisation and management of the class
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff, deploying support effectively to maximise outcomes
- Plan and implement targeted interventions to support pupil progress, including for pupils with SEND and additional needs
- Promote the wellbeing, safety and pastoral care of all pupils
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children’s learning and development
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities, events and school initiatives
- Uphold and implement school policies, particularly those related to safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion
- Take on additional responsibilities where required, such as subject leadership or contributing to school improvement priorities
