Primary Duties & Responsibilities:- Follow safety procedures/requirements.
- Familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Education & Experience:
- Experience preferred for level I, experience required for level II & level III welder.
- HS Education or GED Equivalent a plus.
- 5 or more years industry experience as a welder.
- Welding trade school graduate or up to two years’ experience as a certified welder.
- Meets all Welder qualifications and requirements.
- Successful completion of Welder workmanship class.
- A clear understanding of welding safety.
- Demonstrates proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Basic understanding of welding principles and applications.
- Demonstrate GTAW skills.
- Basic oral & written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers and cross train if required.
- Knowledge and understanding of filler metal selection.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrate “can do” attitude and work well in a team environment.
- Works mostly autonomously with little supervision.
- Must have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines.
- Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening.
- Lifting: up to 50 pounds.
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
- Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet.
