Demonstrate proficiency in company welding procedures/specifications for welding 90/10 & 70/30 CuNi as well as grinding, prepping and fit-up when needed.

Learn to weld with a rotary positioning table, adjusting settings on rotary table and weld machine after passing GTAW x-ray test with 90/10 pipe on the positioner.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Follow safety procedures/requirements.
  • Familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
  • Experience preferred for level I, experience required for level II & level III welder.
  • HS Education or GED Equivalent a plus.
  • 5 or more years industry experience as a welder.
  • Welding trade school graduate or up to two years’ experience as a certified welder.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Meets all Welder qualifications and requirements.
  • Successful completion of Welder workmanship class.
  • A clear understanding of welding safety.
  • Demonstrates proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Basic understanding of welding principles and applications.
  • Demonstrate GTAW skills.
  • Basic oral & written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers and cross train if required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of filler metal selection.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate “can do” attitude and work well in a team environment.
Supervision:
  • Works mostly autonomously with little supervision.
  • Must have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines.
  • Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening.

  • Lifting: up to 50 pounds.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
  • Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet.
  • Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs.
