We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to oversee daily operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of customer service, managing a team, and maintaining efficient service delivery. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a background in service management or related fields. The Service Manager will play a key role in fostering client satisfaction and operational excellence.

The company WNV-Systems has 30+ years’ experience in specialist automatic cleaning of all road vehicles, Trains, Trams and Helicopters with an outstanding service and maintenance record. We manufacture, install and deliver our patented automatic under chassis systems along with three brush rollovers, Drive-Through Bus Wash, Water reclamation systems, and Pressure wash units to Local Authorities, Haulage companies and all the largest bus organisations throughout the UK and Europe. We have a dedicated service team of engineers located throughout the UK and Ireland and a network of engineers based overseas which extends our service across Europe.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the service team to ensure consistent delivery of quality standards
  • Oversee our parts department, ensuring regular stores and engineer van stocks are kept up to date
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate scheduling and resource allocation for service activities
  • Monitor service performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally
  • Conduct regular training sessions to maintain team competence and motivation
  • Oversee health and safety compliance across all service operations
  • Coordinate with the sales and project teams to ensure new installations are delivered to the highest of standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the service department
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and expectations
  • Manage CRM software to track customer interactions and follow-ups.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong background in customer service, with excellent communication skills
  • Valid driving licence is essential
  • Previous experience as a service manager is highly desirable
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team effectively
  • Organised with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
