Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits within WNTD's dedicated RPO team, embedded directly into Volta to provide a specialist talent capability that operates as a true extension of the business. We are looking for an experienced Talent Partner to lead recruitment across Volta's data centre design and construction organisation in Europe. You will help build the teams responsible for designing, constructing and commissioning the AI factories behind The Utility of Compute. The hiring scope will span design, engineering, construction, project delivery, project controls, commercial management, procurement, commissioning and health and safety. You will work directly with Volta's design and construction leaders to understand each project, technical requirement and delivery milestone. This is a strategic and hands-on recruitment role. You will build specialist talent pipelines ahead of project demand, advise leaders on the European market and secure the people needed to deliver complex AI infrastructure at speed and scale.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for data centre design and construction roles across Europe
- Partner directly with Volta's design, engineering and construction leaders to define workforce plans and hiring priorities
- Recruit project directors, construction managers, design managers, programme managers and technical leaders
- Build pipelines across electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, architectural and controls engineering
- Recruit specialists across project controls, planning, cost management, procurement, commercial management, commissioning and EHSS
- Support hiring for modular construction, prefabrication and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly programmes
- Develop location-specific recruitment strategies for new AI factory developments
- Identify and directly engage candidates from hyperscale, colocation, EPC, consultancy and mission-critical construction environments
- Advise leaders on talent availability, compensation, location strategy and competitor activity
- Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, from initial engagement through to offer and onboarding
- Maintain accurate recruitment data, workforce forecasts and pipeline reporting
- Build a consistent and professional Volta candidate experience across every European market
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong experience recruiting data centre design, engineering or construction professionals
- A good understanding of the data centre development and construction lifecycle
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, commissioning or project delivery disciplines
- A proven ability to deliver specialist and leadership hires across European markets
- Strong direct sourcing, headhunting and talent-mapping capability
- Experience partnering with senior design, engineering and construction leaders
- The ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into effective recruitment strategies
- Confidence managing multiple critical vacancies across different countries and project stages
- Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within hyperscale, colocation, EPC, high-performance computing or AI infrastructure would be advantageous
- Flexibility to travel across Europe when required
WHAT WE OFFER
You will join WNTD's specialist embedded RPO team and work at the heart of Volta's European development programme. You will have direct access to senior leaders and play a visible role in building the teams responsible for delivering industrial-scale AI infrastructure. Competitive salary based on the work you will do, not your previous salary. Performance-related bonus or commission. Retirement or pension contributions. Health, wellbeing and insurance benefits. Generous annual leave. Flexible working arrangements. Direct exposure to senior design, construction and infrastructure leaders. The opportunity to help build a new category of AI infrastructure across Europe. Benefits and employment terms will be provided by WNTD and may vary depending on the country of employment.
