Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and execution-driven Solution Architect to support the design, integration, and rollout of AI-optimized data centers across global sites. This contract-based role is ideal for a hands-on architect with a deep understanding of AI infrastructure, data center deployment, and proven experience working with Dell hardware and NVIDIA DGX systems. The successful candidate will serve as the technical backbone for AI pod deployments, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-density compute environments ready for cutting-edge AI/ML workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Data Center Architecture & Design: Architect end-to-end solutions for AI-ready data centers, including layout, rack elevation, power/cooling design, and high-performance compute configurations. Design scalable and modular infrastructures built around Dell server/storage platforms and NVIDIA DGX clusters.
- GPU Pod Deployment & Commissioning: Lead the deployment of AI GPU pods, ensuring infrastructure readiness for NVIDIA-led commissioning. Oversee hardware integration and network configuration of DGX systems with Dell infrastructure (e.g., VxRail, PowerEdge, and high-performance storage).
- Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between internal teams, Dell build partners, and NVIDIA commissioning teams. Coordinate with engineering, operations, and facility management to ensure alignment with technical roadmaps and delivery schedules.
- Multi-Site Rollout Support: Support concurrent global site deployments, providing technical guidance to implementation teams and local contractors. Ensure consistency in design standards, deployment methods, and operational handoffs.
- Compliance & Operational Readiness: Validate deployments against local compliance, sustainability, and Tier III+ design standards. Deliver comprehensive handover documentation, SOPs, and runbooks for operational teams.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure design and deployment, particularly for AI and HPC workloads.
- Hands-on experience with Dell technologies (PowerEdge, PowerScale, VxRail, etc.) in high-density compute environments.
- Proven deployment and integration experience with NVIDIA DGX systems, including familiarity with NVLink, NVIDIA Base Command, and commissioning processes.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML workload requirements, cooling and power density challenges, and scalable GPU cluster design.
- Strong background in working with third-party vendors and managing complex, multi-site project deployments.
- Comfortable working in a contract role with international travel and tight project deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing or managing DGX SuperPOD or similar AI pod infrastructures.
- Familiarity with containerized workloads (e.g., Kubernetes), Mellanox networking, and InfiniBand fabric design.
- Experience in the EMEA region with a strong understanding of local data center compliance requirements.
