Job Title: Head of Physical Security Location: Farnborough, UK Travel: You will be required to travel between sites Salary: Competitive + Benefits About the Role: Our client, a leading organization in the data center and technology sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Physical Security to lead their security operations. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for ensuring the security strategy is effective, adaptive, and aligned with industry best practices, including compliance with HMG/MOD standards. Reporting directly to the Security Director, you will oversee the security and vetting team, manage third-party providers, and implement policies to maintain a secure and efficient environment. This role is a key part of the senior leadership team, requiring a proactive approach to integrating security measures across all business functions. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Security and Vetting Teams, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy. Oversee physical security, compliance, system operations, and business continuity measures. Develop and maintain security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations. Manage third-party security providers and ensure high performance in manned guarding contracts. Conduct security audits, penetration testing, and emergency procedure assessments. Act as a key point of contact for client-related security and vetting requirements. Collaborate with construction teams to ensure secure build standards for new projects. Develop a security culture and training programs across the organization. Qualifications and Experience: At least 10 years of managerial experience in security management. Proven experience managing security contracts, including budget oversight. Strong leadership and people management skills. Experience in emergency service liaison and coordination. Knowledge of vetting processes and compliance requirements. Ability to achieve DV clearance (essential). Relevant qualifications in security inspections, audits, and counter-terrorism. Familiarity with NPSA secure build standards and certifications is desirable. Why Join?
