Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contract Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the rapid development and deployment of AI-ready data centers across the globe. This role is critical in ensuring technical leadership, vendor coordination, and strategic execution of hyperscale AI infrastructure projects.
This is a contract-based leadership role ideal for a hands-on, execution-driven CTO who thrives in fast-paced environments and has deep experience in data center construction, AI infrastructure (GPU pods), and working with Dell and NVIDIA technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Technical Oversight: Lead the architecture, buildout, and commissioning of multiple data centers optimized for AI workloads.
- AI Pod Infrastructure Delivery: Drive the deployment of AI GPU pods; ensure readiness for NVIDIA-led commissioning; manage Dell integration for hardware infrastructure.
- Vendor and Partner Coordination: Act as the primary technical liaison with Dell (build partner) and NVIDIA (commissioning partner) to ensure timely, cost-effective deployment.
- Site Leadership & Rollout Execution: Oversee simultaneous site deployments across globe; manage on-the-ground technical teams and contractors.
- Rapid Scale-Up Strategy: Develop and implement a roadmap to launch a number of new sites, balancing speed, scalability, and resilience.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all deployments meet local regulatory requirements, sustainability standards, and operational best practices.
- Technical Budget Management: Own technical budgeting and capital expenditure tracking, optimizing vendor procurement and infrastructure costs.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a CTO or Senior Technical Lead in data center deployment and hyperscale AI infrastructure.
- Direct experience with Dell technologies for data center build-outs and familiarity with NVIDIA GPU server platforms and commissioning protocols.
- Strong track record in multi-site international deployments, ideally in EMEA regions.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML workloads, power and cooling design for high-density compute environments, and Tier III+ data center standards.
- Comfortable operating in a contract-based role with a focus on delivery and execution under tight timelines.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
