We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer / Skilled Labourer to join our construction team for a prestigious prime residential refurbishment project in North London.
Initially for a week to help with install of a staircase but will be longer term on other sites potentially.
The role involves providing essential support to trades and performing general labouring duties to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Trades: Support skilled trades, including carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, by preparing, cutting, and transporting materials, and assisting with tasks as directed to facilitate efficient workflows.
- General Labouring: Perform general labouring duties such as loading and unloading materials, moving equipment, and assisting with site setup and preparation.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by clearing debris, managing waste, and ensuring materials are stored appropriately.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and following site safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the site team, including other labourers, tradespeople, and the Site Manager, to support seamless project execution.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to maintaining high standards of workmanship by paying attention to detail and following project specifications.
Key Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card (essential).
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Labourer or Skilled Labourer in construction projects.
- Experience in prime residential or similar high-quality projects is desirable but not essential.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to delivering high-standard work.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately and to project specifications.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also performing tasks independently when required.
- Physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
- Location and Travel:
- Ability to commute to North London (N6) for the duration of the project.
- Health and Safety:
- Knowledge of and commitment to adhering to site safety regulations and procedures.
