The predicted salary is between 22050 - 26950 £ per year.

Hours: 40 hours per week. Shift Pattern: Working any 5 days from 7 to accommodate the needs of the business. Start and finish times will vary to reflect operational hours during peak periods. Work pattern: This is a 365-day operation therefore there will be the need to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays in accordance with business needs. Duration: Permanent/Full time.

The Role: West Midlands Safari Park is currently sourcing candidates for the role of Event Sales Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inquiries, supporting sales processes, and ensuring excellent customer service for a variety of events, including corporate functions, weddings, parties, fun days, and public events. The ideal candidate will bring an infectious energy to the Venues team and work in alignment with the Venues and Marketing teams to deliver successful events across our three venue locations, Spring Grove House, Tree Tops Pavilion and The Cellarz. Above all, we’re looking for someone with a key interest and focus on all things HSE, who is self-motivated to achieve success and drive positive and proactive change through diligence and being able and willing to think ahead.

Key responsibilities:

  • Respond to and manage all incoming enquiries related to venue bookings.
  • Conduct follow-ups on enquiries to ensure customer satisfaction and facilitate sales.
  • Raise or revise quotations based on client needs for various event types, including corporate events, weddings, parties, fun days, and public events.
  • Utilize our booking system to update critical business information accurately.
  • Follow all internal processes for billing and payments to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
  • Plan and host venue appointments, showcasing our facilities and services to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure all third-party requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department on promotions and advertising campaigns to attract new clients.
  • Assist with the running of events to ensure everything operates smoothly.

About you:

To be considered for interview your experience and skills set should demonstrate:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality or events industry is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using booking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in sales administration or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work under your own initiative is key with the adaptability for change in a fast-paced customer facing environment.
