Dudley Council is looking for two passionate, grounded, and inspiring Youth Mentors who can make a real difference in the lives of young people across the borough. The role centres on building trusting relationships, offering guidance through life’s challenges, and helping young people develop confidence, resilience and positive aspirations for their future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusting relationships with young people and support them through life’s challenges.
  • Deliver one‑to‑one support, case holding, and group activities.
  • Work alongside schools, families, and local services to create safe and empowering environments.
  • Engage with the community to promote positive change.
  • Attend the office 3+ days a week (pro‑rata) or work onsite full time, as required.
  • Have the opportunity to complete a level 3 youth work apprenticeship during the role.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong listening skills and the ability to communicate with warmth and clarity.
  • A genuine belief in the potential of every young person.
  • Experience or interest in youth work is desirable.
