ACE is a Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)–certified regional adoption agency supporting families across Coventry, Herefordshire, Solihull, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire. Our practice is rooted in the principles of connection, relationship, and emotional safety.

As a Family Support Worker, you will play a key role in nurturing strong, trusting relationships with our adoptive families. We value the power of empathy and attunement, ensuring each family feels heard, understood, and supported in a way that honours their lived experience.

We are recruiting for 2 fixed term Family Support Workers (12 months with possible extension to 24 months). These posts are Pan Regional – covering Coventry, Herefordshire, Solihull, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Shropshire. You will contribute to delivering a high‑quality, relational support service by:

  • Offering advice and guidance grounded in therapeutic parenting approaches
  • Promoting and modelling a PACE‑led ethos (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy)
  • Facilitating groups, workshops, and opportunities that bring families together
  • Providing training alongside team members to strengthen families’ understanding of their children’s needs
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to ensure a holistic and responsive support experience

  • Has experience of running groups for children and young people

  • Is willing to embrace the principles of Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP)
  • Is committed to developing their understanding of therapeutic parenting
  • Can build trusted relationships with adoptive parents, colleagues, and professionals
  • Is enthusiastic about contributing to a compassionate, relationship‑focused service

Training and ongoing development in DDP and PACE will be provided.
