We are looking for a committed and detail-focused Transport Monitoring Officer to support Worcestershire County Council in ensuring that transport services across the county are safe, reliable, and compliant. This is a varied, field-based role where you will monitor contracted transport services, ensuring compliance with legislation and the council’s terms and conditions, while supporting continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake on-site monitoring of contracted transport services across Worcestershire
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and council standards
- Assess contractor performance against specifications and contractual requirements
- Record findings clearly and provide accurate, evidence-based reports
- Investigate complaints, incidents, and non-compliance, recommending appropriate action
- Work collaboratively with operators and internal teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery
- Support contract management, audit, and performance monitoring activities
- Assist with asset management and passenger transport timetable network
