Worcester Sixth Form College invites applications for a part-time (0.6-0.8) teacher of Food Science & Nutrition from 24 August 2026. The appointment is within the Sixth Form Colleges Teaching Staff salary structure £33,465 - £51,714. The successful candidate will teach Level 3 AAQ.
Responsibilities
- Teach Level 3 AAQ to 16-19 students.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of an exciting and relevant curriculum for the 16-19 age group.
- Engage students in a range of activities to enhance understanding and commitment.
- Be committed to providing students with an outstanding learning experience.
- Participate in departmental development through the Teaching and Learning Group and observation of lessons.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Well-qualified, innovative and inspirational teacher of Food Science & Nutrition.
- Experience of 16-19 education or willingness to train as an Early Career Teacher (ECT); training and support available with mentoring and ECT induction.
- Ability to work collaboratively with mentors and senior staff.

- Personal mentor and subject specialist mentoring.
- Opportunities to develop teaching strategies via the Teaching and Learning Group.
