Chadsgrove School is a day special school for pupils with physical disabilities, complex medical needs, profound and multiple learning difficulties, sensory impairments and/or communication difficulties. Currently, there are 128 pupils in the 2‑19 age range.
We are looking to appoint a Personal Care Assistant. The post involves:
- Assisting with swimming pool changing
- Bathroom changes
- Supporting pupils back into chairs
- Supporting pupils with feeding
The work can often involve lifting pupils; candidates must be physically fit and capable of working cooperatively within a multi‑disciplinary team. Manual handling training will be provided.
Candidates must be adaptable, have a good sense of humour, and be able to empathise and work positively with pupils’ individual needs.
