Worcestershire County Council is seeking Library Customer Advisors (3 positions available).
Salary: £25,583‑£25,986 pro rata
Hours: 24 hrs per week, 20.5 hrs per week, 18.25 hrs per week
Location: The Hive
Contract: Permanent
As part of the first integrated public and university library in the UK, the Library Customer Advisor role is diverse and ever‑changing. You will help customers access a wide range of resources and services and provide digital one‑to‑one support, lead events and activities for all ages, and support online group activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to enquiries in person and digitally.
- Support customers in accessing library collections, databases, and other resources.
- Lead and facilitate events, storytelling, and other activities for children and adults.
- Assist with online activity groups and support remote customers.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and requests.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and energetic individual with strong customer‑service skills. A background in retail, hospitality, community, education, early years or library work is valuable, but a strong customer focus is essential.
