The Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) team are seeking to recruit a Learning & Organisational Development Advisor. We deliver a range of services for employees across the organisation from face to face and online training, e-learning, apprenticeships, digital design services, management training and much more. We also guide on organisation development activities that contribute to our workforce strategy.

About The Role

You will be developing and maintaining a network of key stakeholders from across the organisation to work collaboratively with the aim of enabling teams and individuals to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours. This will involve gathering learning needs information and exploring business requirements to design and shape learning solutions. You will need to be innovative to ensure solution outcomes to ensure fit within defined budgets and legislative frameworks. You will be involved with the procurement of learning solutions and evaluating suppliers and monitoring quality. Through working across the L&OD function, you will be able to support the complete training cycle from interpreting learning needs through to evaluation.

Organisational development is a key workstream within L&OD, whether that be supporting the performance review cycle or leading on areas that develop culture change to support the workforce strategy. We are looking for someone that is prepared to get involved in driving development and change through working in partnership with colleagues in the wider HR, Digital and Communications teams. Ultimately, we are seeking someone who is passionate about change, developing people and working with key stakeholders to create an environment where people can perform at their best.

We expect this role to develop and respond to workforce priorities as set by our Chief Officer Group (COG) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Benefits

  • Great Holiday Entitlement: As well as bank holidays, you'll get 26 days paid holiday (pro rata for part-time staff). This goes up to 31 days when you have been with us for 5 years.
  • Brilliant Pension Scheme: The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is a nationwide, career average pension scheme and is a valuable part of the pay and reward package for employees working in local government.
  • Professional Learning & Development: We encourage learning and development for all our staff should they want to progress further or explore other areas within the organisation.
