Worcestershire County Council is looking for a new team member to join our Workflow Business Unit (WBU). The WBU underpins the work of several teams within Finance, and all WBU Officers liaise with the Council’s Customer Contact Centre daily to respond to finance queries and meet the standards expected in our Service Level Agreement. Excellent communication skills are essential as team members interact with a variety of customers including adults with care and support needs, adult social care colleagues, Social Workers, schools, and businesses.

Examples of daily routine tasks include:

  • Assisting with processing financial assessments
  • Resolving Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable queries in line with expected service standards, timescales, and defined legislation
  • Providing flexible ad-hoc support to other Finance Operational Services (FOS) teams as required

While having knowledge of Adults Social Care is useful, it is more important to demonstrate a willingness to learn and apply new processes, a desire to continually improve service delivery, and take pride in excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and customer service. A genuine desire to work as a valued member of our conscientious and passionate team is key to being successful in this role.
