Commissioning Contract and Support Officer in Worcester

Worcestershire County Council is seeking an experienced, organised and motivated individual to join our supportive and highly skilled Commissioning Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for providers and stakeholders, helping ensure commissioned services are delivered effectively, contracts are managed efficiently and high-quality outcomes are achieved for Worcestershire residents.

The role has a significant focus on commissioning contract administration, financial processes and performance intelligence. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating provider onboarding and maintaining contract records.
• Producing performance reports, dashboards and management information.
• Supporting commissioning projects, service improvement initiatives and market development activities.
• Analysing data and presenting information to support evidence-based decision making.
• Working closely with Commissioning, Quality Assurance, Finance, Commercial and Legal colleagues to ensure commissioned services are effectively managed.
• Supporting the development of digital tools, reporting solutions and process improvements that enhance efficiency and data quality.

This role would suit an experienced commissioning, contracts, performance, business support or adult social care professional who can quickly establish themselves within a busy commissioning environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of supporting contract monitoring, commissioning or provider management activities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience of analysing, interpreting and presenting information and performance data.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and the use of databases or management information systems.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Knowledge of Adult Social Care, commissioning processes, contract management systems, Power BI or financial administration would be advantageous.
