About the Role
Catshill Middle School (Meadow Road, Catshill, Bromsgrove B61 0JW) is seeking a full‑time Mainscale/UPS Teacher for the 2026/27 year. The successful candidate will have an English specialism in KS2/KS3 (KS3 preferred) and will work across the baseline and UPS curriculum. The role is open to Early Career Teachers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality lessons in English for pupils in KS2 and KS3.
- Develop pupils' understanding of language, reading, and communication across the curriculum.
- Use formative and summative assessment to inform instruction and support progress.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to promote a positive learning environment.
- Participate in professional learning and curriculum collaboration across the school and the Spire Church of England Learning Trust.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified teacher with teaching licence.
- Experience teaching at KS2 or KS3 preferred; Early Career Teachers with relevant subject knowledge are welcome.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils, with a commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.
