About the School: Pitmaston Primary School is an ‘Outstanding’ large, inclusive and highly regarded primary school at the heart of its community. Pupils are happy, feel safe and known well by staff. The school holds the Inclusion Quality Mark as a ‘Flagship School’, a Mentally Healthy and Trauma Informed School, and a Thrive Ambassador School. It has a significant number of pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and high levels of additional need.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Inclusion Team comprising Mental Health and Well-being practitioners, Thrive practitioners, English as an Additional Language team and Higher Level Needs Teaching Assistants.
- Act as a strategic leader and member of the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring inclusive practice is embedded across the school.
- Ensure all pupils with SEND achieve strong outcomes and that inclusive practice is continuously monitored and improved.
Qualifications & Experience: Highly skilled, experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and Inclusion Coordinator.
Disclosures: Appointment upon receipt of a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including criminal record details. The post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
