Hanley Castle High School is looking to appoint a dedicated and highly organised Aspire SEND & Inclusion Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of the school’s Inclusion strategy and SEND policy.
  • Manage and coordinate the day‑to‑day operation of the Aspire provision.
  • Lead and support the Learning Support Assistant team to provide high‑quality support for students with SEND.
  • Coordinate provision for students with SEND, including contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), leading meetings with parents and professionals, and working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for students.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of SEND provision and interventions.
  • Support the professional development of staff and promote an inclusive school environment where all students are supported to achieve and thrive.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with SEND students and a strong understanding of inclusive practice.
  • Confidence in leading and supporting a team of Learning Support Assistants, coordinating interventions, and working collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies.
  • A passion for supporting young people with SEND.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and student well‑being.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, families and professionals.

Required to undertake pre‑employment checks including an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Working Hours & Salary

  • Hours: 37 hours per week, term‑only plus 8 professional development days (PDD’s).
  • Salary: SO2 SCP26‑28, £37,280 – £39,152 FTE. Pro‑rated to £32,023 – £33,631 per annum (pay award pending).
  • Start date: 1 September 2026.
