South Staffordshire Council is offering a fixed term maternity cover position for a Workforce Development Administrator for 12 months. The salary is Grade E - £25,585 - £25,989 pro rata per annum (pending pay award) for 22.2 hours per week, working a 4 day week (Monday to Thursday) with the exact working pattern to be agreed. The role is based at the Council Offices with hybrid working options.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering the Council’s workforce development programme. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating training activity
  • Building relationships with providers
  • Bringing together the annual training programme including marketing materials
  • Keeping HR/Payroll records accurate and up to date
  • Producing reports and insights that support workforce planning and organisational development
  • Collating training needs and training evaluation
  • Supporting employee induction, work experience, and wider HR initiatives such as wellbeing and employee engagement

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised administrator who enjoys building relationships and communicating with a wide range of audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams is required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
