The Role: Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role will work closely with classroom teachers and the pastoral team to provide universal and targeted support, helping students thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the academic and personal development of students across a range of abilities
- Assist in delivering high-quality teaching and learning under the direction of classroom teachers
- Help promote positive behaviour, well-being, and engagement in lessons
- Build strong relationships with students to encourage confidence, resilience, and independence
- Provide one-to-one or small group interventions where needed
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting
- A strong understanding of student well-being and the barriers to learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative
Desirable Qualities
- A passion for supporting young people from diverse or disadvantaged backgrounds
- Flexible, patient, and committed to helping students reach their full potential
- Willingness to engage in professional development and ongoing training
Salary NJC Grade 3 Point 4 to Grade 4 Point 11 (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Hours & Weeks 37 hours per week, Term Time Only.
