Cherry Trees School is currently looking to recruit a qualified Teaching Assistant working 30 hours per week to provide support. We are a special school meaning we provide education for young children with a range of needs from the age of 3-11. The school has particular expertise in working with pupils who have profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties including those with communication problems, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and complex needs and those with moderate learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Be a positive role model for pupils.
- Comply with schools policies and procedures.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children.
- Work closely with parents/carers and other professionals.
Salary and terms
- Teaching Assistant Level 2 – Grade 4 scp.5-6
- Salary (FTE 37hrs): £25,583-£25,989 pro rata
- Actual salary: £17,921.31 – 30 hour Contract
- Contract type: Part Time – 30 hours (Term Time)
- Fixed Term: August 2027
- Required start date: 01 September 2026
