About the Role
The role is a permanent Class Teacher and Careers Lead (Middle Leader) who will sit on the Wider Leadership Team, contributing to whole‑school improvement and strategic development. The post holder will design and deliver a high‑quality careers programme embedded across the curriculum and tailored to meet diverse pupil needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual pupils.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to design rich, cross‑curricular learning experiences.
- Use subject knowledge (English, science, ICT) to connect and deepen learning.
- Build strong, positive relationships that foster independence, confidence and a love of learning.
- Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of the careers programme across the school.
- Develop strong partnerships with employers, colleges, training providers and external agencies to support pupil independence, employability and preparation for adulthood.
- Contribute to whole‑school improvement and strategic development as part of the Wider Leadership Team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Genuine passion for working with young people with special educational needs.
- Reflective, resilient and committed to ongoing professional development.
- Shares values of inclusion, respect and unconditional positive regard.
- Previous SEND experience is welcome but not essential.
