St Nicholas CE (VC) First School is seeking a highly effective Site Technician to join an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking team.

The Role at a Glance

  • Hourly rate: £13.26
  • Hours: 20 per week (Monday – Friday, split shift 3 h morning 7‑10 am and 1 h evening)
  • Contract: Perm Part‑Time
  • Start Date: 01/09/2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the school building and coordinate contractors for major repairs.
  • Complete and document health, safety, and compliance checks (e.g., water and temperature checks).
  • Address minor repairs quickly and efficiently to keep the school safe and tidy.
  • Manage evening lock‑up duties and liaise with members of the public and lettings.
  • Cover colleague absences and holidays within the Academy site team as required.
  • Undertake overtime and longer days for larger projects as needed.
  • Take on small repairs and maintenance projects as required.
  • Be available to open and lock in pre‑agreed times for PTFA events, evenings or weekends – paid as overtime.
  • Support the handling of school deliveries, ensuring items are received promptly and distributed efficiently.
