South Staffordshire Council, Wombourne and Codsall Leisure Centres are seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Duty Officer to assist with the operational management of Council leisure facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, customer care and health & safety, to lead shifts as the responsible member of staff on duty and providing supervision of leisure centre staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist with operational management of leisure facilities.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, customer care, and health & safety.
- Lead shifts as the responsible member of staff on duty.
- Supervise leisure centre staff.
- Contribute to the performance management of the Council’s health & fitness membership products by leading the team and ensuring the appropriate sales and retention processes are followed.
Hours of Work
Relief contract; involves evening and weekend working.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in the operation of a leisure centre.
- Knowledge of health & safety and risk assessments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft packages.
- First Aid at Work Certificate (required within 3 months of appointment).
Background Check
This post requires possible criminal background checks. An enhanced disclosure check through the Disclosure and Barring Service will be conducted, and offer of appointment is subject to a satisfactory clearance.
