About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Policy and Strategy Consultant to join our People Services team and play a key role in driving improvements on policy, process and project work through effective stakeholder engagement and research.

- Do you have significant HR operational and policy development experience?
- Do you keep up to date with current and emerging employment law and best practice?
- Can you deliver impactful HR transformation projects?
- Are you a confident communicator and influencer, able to engage stakeholders and support the co‑production of policies and processes?
As a member of the People Services Policy and Strategy team you will ensure policies and projects are inclusive and reflective of our workforce and community. Ensuring barriers are considered and solutions implemented to ensure all our employees are supported.
You will:
- Support the delivery of legally compliant, modern, forward‑thinking, performance‑focussed and customer‑centric People policies and projects that support our organisational vision
- Have expert knowledge of current and upcoming employment law and best practice
- Have experience of end‑to‑end policy development, including benchmarking, design, engagement and implementation
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, trade unions and equality forums on a wide range of People projects
- Have experience in designing and presenting policy updates in suitable formats to various stakeholders
- Work with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team to ensure we deliver on equality related responsibilities
- Support the development of the People Policy and Strategy Assistants
