Parking Enforcement Manager
Hours: 37 per week. Salary: £44,075 – £49,282 (Grade 7). Contract: Full time, permanent.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Parking Enforcement Manager to lead the Enforcement Team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, compliant, customer‑focused enforcement services across on‑street and off‑street parking, bus lanes, and moving traffic.
- Ensure services meet legislation, statutory guidance, best practice and council policies.
- Encourage compliance and support the Council’s objectives for parking, bus lane, and moving traffic enforcement.
- Monitor contracted services to maintain a professional, efficient, value‑for‑money delivery.
- Manage income and maximise revenue across all parking service functions.
- Lead, motivate and develop enforcement teams, maintaining performance, professionalism, and public confidence.
- Handle performance, complaints and service improvement in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in parking enforcement, bus lane enforcement, and moving traffic enforcement.
- Proven experience managing teams and/or service delivery contracts.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, able to engage staff, contractors, stakeholders and public.
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation, statutory guidance and best practice within civil enforcement.
- Ability to analyse performance data and support income generation and service improvement.
