South Staffordshire Council is seeking two Customer Service Advisors on a fixed term contract to deliver exceptional service to residents and customers contacting the council by telephone. One post will be available from April to end of August 2026 and the second post from April to end of June 2026.
This dynamic and varied role involves:
- Handling customer enquiries and processing service requests.
- Taking payments, completing applications, and providing appropriate signposting.
- Supporting the renewal of the Council’s green waste service primarily via telephone.
- Assisting customers through email, social media, and occasionally face-to-face interactions.
Required experience and attributes:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent telephone manner with a professional and empathetic approach.
- Computer literacy and the ability to navigate multiple systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
