Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking a Catering Manager for Wallbrook Primary Academy. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of the team at Wallbrook Primary Academy. At WPA, we are committed to an inclusive education for local students at every ability level, providing a rigorous grounding in academic fundamentals and equipping students for the future through teaching them relevant and cutting-edge skills.
The postholder will:
- Provide management of the catering facilities within the Academy to offer students, staff, and visitors value for money meals of a high standard.
- Create a new and varied menu to enhance the lunchtime experience of all our students.
- Provide catering to support extended school activities, Academy events, and meetings.
- Strive for continual improvement of the quality of food and service.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations, Health and Safety, COSHH regulations, and risk management.
Applicants must have experience of working in a high-volume catering environment and managing staff. Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects its entire staff to share this commitment. All post-holders will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), including a Children’s Barred List check for posts carrying out regulated activities.
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time + 1 week
Grade: Band D SCP 9-17 (£27,255 - £31,022 per annum pro rata; actual salary: £21,362 - £24,943 per annum)
