Overview: This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. The Community Partnership Team are looking to recruit a Community Assistant based at West Bromwich Community Centre, Gayton Road West Bromwich B71 1QS. In this hands-on role, you’ll be the welcoming face of the centre, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with the general public daily.
  • Working in a small team to ensure the delivery of services at the centre.
  • Responsibility for health and safety compliance, opening and closing the community centre, taking bookings, setting up rooms for user groups, and clearing.
  • Some administrative duties and cash handling will also be involved.

About you:

This role requires someone with excellent customer service skills. There is some evening (until 10pm) and weekend working involved and so flexibility is required. The qualification requirements are GCSE English & Maths. If you enjoy helping others and take pride in keeping things running efficiently, we’d love to hear from you!
