Solihull Community Housing is seeking an Activities Co‑ordinator to join our community at Saxon Court – Solihull Extra Care Scheme. You will support older and vulnerable adults by developing, delivering and evaluating a vibrant programme of activities that promote physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Planning and organising a varied programme of activities to support residents’ physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
- Delivering social events and themed activities.
- Leading health and wellbeing sessions.
- Providing arts, crafts, music and gentle exercise classes.
- Coordinating community engagement opportunities.
- Offering one‑to‑one engagement for residents who may feel isolated or vulnerable.
Qualifications & requirements
- Good understanding and/or experience of social care or support services.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, fair and professional approach.
- Friendly, approachable, compassionate, organised, reliable, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic DBS check desirable.
- Driving licence desirable.
- Fluency in English as required by the Fluency Duty.
