Solihull Community Housing is seeking an Activities Co‑ordinator to join our community at Saxon Court – Solihull Extra Care Scheme. You will support older and vulnerable adults by developing, delivering and evaluating a vibrant programme of activities that promote physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and organising a varied programme of activities to support residents’ physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
  • Delivering social events and themed activities.
  • Leading health and wellbeing sessions.
  • Providing arts, crafts, music and gentle exercise classes.
  • Coordinating community engagement opportunities.
  • Offering one‑to‑one engagement for residents who may feel isolated or vulnerable.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Good understanding and/or experience of social care or support services.
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, fair and professional approach.
  • Friendly, approachable, compassionate, organised, reliable, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic DBS check desirable.
  • Driving licence desirable.
  • Fluency in English as required by the Fluency Duty.
