We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our team at Aylesford School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to our Key Stage 2 pupils, fostering a love of learning and supporting their academic and personal development. An interest in humanities is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum, ensuring that all pupils make progress in their learning.
- Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupils to be curious, creative, and confident learners.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement an engaging curriculum, with a particular emphasis on integrating art and design into various subjects.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, promoting a strong sense of community within the school.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
- Uphold the school’s values and policies, including those related to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Demonstrate the Teachers’ Standards in all aspects of teaching, behaviour, professional conduct and wider school life.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
- An interest in humanities, with the ability to incorporate these subjects into the curriculum, is desirable.
