Warwick District Council is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced manager to lead a team encompassing planning policy, site delivery, development monitoring and the Community Infrastructure Levy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in planning policy, major sites delivery, development monitoring and the Community Infrastructure Levy.
  • Manage the delivery of major sites in key growth areas.
  • Produce the Local Plan and other planning policy documents.
  • Act as council lead on cross‑boundary planning activity.
  • Monitor and assess development activity.
  • Ensure the council meets its commitments to high‑quality development and the Climate Emergency agenda.

Qualifications

  • Experienced and qualified planning professional with management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering development projects.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience of formulating planning policy.
