X 4 vacancies – 0 Hours – Sessional workers. Warwickshire County Council’s Separated Children and Leaving Care Team works with care‑experienced young people aged 16‑25 and separated children in care. The team is split for Separated Young People Seeking and for Young People Leaving Care, with a duty rota covering both services. It is a county‑wide service with offices in the North and South of the county.
About the Role
We are seeking passionate and dedicated people to join our Leaving Care Service as sessional workers. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who believes that young people leaving care deserve the best possible start in adulthood and who can adapt their work style to the individual needs of each young person. In this role, you will:
- Work with young people aged 16‑25.
- Manage a caseload and respond to the needs of those young people.
- Support and help young people become ready for independence.

You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced management team that values collaboration, innovation and a young‑person‑centred approach. Our team is committed to improving outcomes for care leavers and ensuring they have the tools and support they need to thrive.
Pre‑engagement Checks
Successful applicants will be subject to pre‑engagement checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Where a declared criminal offence exists, an individual assessment will be completed. The council follows the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Fluency Duty
This role requires the ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
