We are recruiting a Mobile Library Driver to operate transit routes on Fridays at Hawkes Point, with potential relief duties. The role involves driving the mobile library vehicle, delivering services to rural and urban communities across Warwickshire, interacting with customers of all ages, and using ICT skills to manage library resources and appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the mobile library vehicle on scheduled routes and maintain vehicle hygiene and safety.
- Deliver library services to community locations across Warwickshire on Fridays.
- Provide courteous customer service to patrons of all ages.
- Use ICT skills to access library databases and manage library-related tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of route mileage, stock, and customer interactions.
- Assist with relief duties as required.
Key Requirements
- Full, clean driving licence with C1 category or HGV equivalent and experience driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes.
- Physically able and able to work independently and flexibly.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- ICT competency.
- Fluency duty β the ability to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
