This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional Mechanical Design Engineer who is seeking a new challenge to join our Property Services team. As part of a wider team including M&E engineers and building surveyors, the postholder will coordinate and deliver works through our supply chain, ensuring high standards and conformity to specification throughout. You will be working within the County of Warwickshire for a range of customers. The buildings that we maintain are varied and include offices, accommodation, education sites, fire and rescue stations, libraries, heritage and cultural sites. Within the Engineering Services team you will be working as part of a professional team of engineers and surveyors responsible for a wide range of revenue and capital projects for clients both within and external to the Council.
Key Requirements
- Appropriate HNC/equivalent
- Experience in Mechanical Building Services Design
- Good communication and customer liaison skills
- A successful track record in project management
- A successful record of management of contractors on site
- The ability to work within a multi-disciplined team
- The ability to produce works specifications to obtain quotation on a competitive basis
- The proven ability to successfully manage your own workloads and deliver works on time and within budgets
