Overview: HR, OD and Payroll Manager – £59,852 - £62,585 per annum; 37 hours per week; Permanent Post.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the HR and Payroll team, ensuring a high-quality, reliable service
  • Ensure payroll and employment practices are accurate, robust and legally compliant
  • Provide trusted advice on complex HR, organisational development and payroll matters
  • Provide advice on workforce change linked to Local Government Reform (LGR) and wider organisational reform
  • Support organisational change, restructures and service redesign
  • Work constructively with trade unions and senior stakeholders
  • Help embed a fair, inclusive and people-focused working culture

Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualified with strong, up-to-date knowledge of employment law
  • Experience of leading an HR and payroll service through change
  • Confident advising at senior level
  • Ability to balance legal compliance with pragmatic, people-focused solutions
  • Sound judgement, professionalism and a collaborative approach
  • Experience of working in local government, TUPE, Hay Job Evaluation and restructures would be an advantage

Working pattern: The postholder is expected to work predominantly from home; however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. Office and hybrid working are also available.
