Warwick District Council is seeking an experienced and passionate full‑time Housing Enforcement and Compliance Officer (37 hours per week) to lead the Landlord Operations team. The role focuses on protecting our housing communities, enabling tenants to contribute positively, and addressing Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) and complex tenancy breaches while supporting vulnerable customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex caseload that includes ASB, harassment, hate crime, domestic abuse, hoarding, and other serious tenancy breaches.
  • Take a victim‑centred, proactive approach to resolve issues early and effectively, balancing support and enforcement.
  • Act as a subject specialist to housing management teams, providing coaching and support to ensure the best possible service.
  • Help develop and refine policy and procedure to maintain safe communities.

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of legislation relevant to ASB and tenancy breaches, including the Crime and Policing Act 2014 and the Housing Act.
  • Substantial, recent experience in managing serious or persistent ASB cases.
  • Strong investigative skills, able to progress cases for legal action, prepare witness statements and evidence bundles, and represent the council in court.
  • Sound understanding of enforcement action, particularly possession proceedings linked to ASB.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence and ability to travel across operational areas.
