Salary: £35,412 – £38,220 per annum.
Contract: Fixed-term until 31/03/27, extendable until 31/03/28.
Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, relationship-focused and proactive Youth Co‑ordinator to connect young people aged 14‑29 with employment, training, apprenticeships, internships and work experience opportunities. You will work with educators, employers, training providers, the DWP and community organisations to create pathways into education, training and sustainable employment.
What you will be doing
- Mapping and promoting the local and regional youth offer.
- Building partnerships with schools, colleges, employers and providers.
- Coordinating outreach and engagement activities.
- Supporting internships, apprenticeships and work placements.
- Developing and maintaining youth opportunities.
- Monitoring outcomes, producing reports and case studies.
- Identifying opportunities to improve services and outcomes.
About you
You will have experience shaping and influencing projects or programmes within skills, employment, education or economic development, and possess excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills. You are passionate about creating better opportunities for young people, confident in building relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, and bring energy, drive and a commitment to making a difference. Adaptability and resilience to succeed in a fast‑paced environment are essential.

Additional information
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. The role is subject to a DBS check and includes travel across the borough as required.
