An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and forward‑thinking Adult Safeguarding Hub. We are ideally looking for social workers who have post qualifying experience in Adult Social Care Social Work.

About the job

The safeguarding hub receives all safeguarding referrals for adults in Walsall. The team is social work led and makes decisions about how to respond to safeguarding concerns. You would analyse presenting risks, liaise with partner agencies, adults and their representatives, share and gather information appropriately and apply the principles of section 42 of the Care Act 2014.

About you

A registered social worker with a good knowledge of safeguarding legislation and guidance, including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other related legislation. A good knowledge of adult social care and adult safeguarding procedures. A passion and commitment to working with adults and their representatives to achieve the best possible outcomes. The ability to demonstrate competence, knowledge, experience and the ability as a social worker in relation to adult safeguarding, as outlined in the attached job description and person specification.

  • A level of flexibility between office and remote working, in line with the needs of the service.
  • 28 days paid annual holiday (pro‑rata for part time staff) in addition to Bank Holidays. This goes up to 33 days when you have worked with us for 5 years.
