About the role

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Specialist Social Worker to join the Youth in Sight team, a multidisciplinary team working with adolescents aged 10‑18 with complex mental health or emotional dysregulation needs. The role focuses on supporting families to remain safely within their homes, providing therapeutic care, and ensuring equitable, strengths‑based practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and contribute to statutory assessments, planning, and reviews, promoting participation, consultation, and co‑production.
  • Collaborate with the wider partnership to secure support and adopt a ‘Think Family’ approach.
  • Advocate on behalf of young people and their families, delivering therapeutic interventions to strengthen resilience.
  • Use the ‘Valuing Care Tool’ and maintain shared database access to monitor impact and share information.
  • Participate in group supervisions every four weeks and reflect on interventions.
  • Support ASYE social workers through reflective conversations, guidance, and co‑working.
  • Maintain a commitment to professional development and be registered with Social Worker England.

About you

Senior specialist social worker with a minimum of two years post‑qualifying experience working with children and families with diverse needs and vulnerabilities. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work in partnership to give voice to the child and family.
