Walsall Council is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Casework Officer to join our EHC Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to thrive. As a SEN Casework Officer, you will work closely with families, schools, and professionals to navigate the statutory annual review process and manage Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Must have experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and a key understanding of the statutory legislation aligning to the EHCP process.
This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
